Yes sir it is
Tyler, that pup is adorable. Congrats on cleaning up wet carpet.
On that note, we had a clogged drain - plumbers took 4 hours and basically went through every drain with a snake to get it cleaned out. That was 2 weeks ago.. yesterday with the rain, the roof is leaking, so now we have wet carpet too.. More calls to the landlord. Ugh. I actually feel badly about it.
So we made it down to SoCal for a few days with my sister, then on to Vegas for a few days. Checked out a VR experience which was pretty cool. Got to play Jumanji... I was Jack Black and my wife was Kevin Hart. It was funny seeing him walk around with her voice... she could talk to animals and I could read the hieroglyphics to tell us which direction to walk. Overall pretty cool! The company was a shit show though... we had a 12:30 appt and arrived at like 12. There were still people waiting that had a 10 am appt. So by like 12:45 we rescheduled for 7 that night.... At like 4 I get an email saying that Jumanji is totally down and we'll have to reschedule again.... I call at 5 to reschedule and they tell me to ignore the email, it's all back up and running again. So we show up at like 5:30 to just double check that our 7 appointment is still good and they find an open time slot for us and we go in with like a 5 minute wait... It was a mess, but all worked out!
We started out in a small room.. like 6x6 small. Each standing in a corner. Then they start the VR and we can look around and see each other.. you can also look in a mirror and see yourself. Then a door opens and you start walking around, navigating the path etc. At some point we got in an elevator and went down a level.... all in VR and I'm pretty sure in real life too... There's gotta be people walking around with us, because at some point you grab like a torch, and I'm pretty sure someone handed my wife a stick to hold, then later at the end you have to put the staff back in the mountain and it felt like someone grabbed it from our hands. Also, the vest you're wearing has tactile feedback, so parts of my side were vibrating when I got hit...
Pretty cool stuff. It'll be exciting to see the technology grow further. The whole experience lasted about 20 minutes.
