Time again for the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!
The 4th Annual UCSP is starting with a pre-party warm up at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel (Downtown - Ocean & Pine) in the lobby bar around 8pm then walking over to the Auld Dubliner Irish Pub for the rest of the festivities.
KTLA News plans to come and do a live report again.
Get your sweaters ready!

WFT...I adjusted the end time back from 2:00am so this Sat night event didn't show up the calendar for two days Sat-Sun, seemed a bit confusing on there. Well it looks like all the RSVPs were wiped out with that edit - so re'up!

usually carpool and we switch off driving. If I go solo then I will drink in the begining and then cut myself off so I have time to sober up.

You guys can always get a room at the hotel. Split a $99 room 4 ways (maybe more :naughty2).
$25 each...less than 2 cab rides, much less than DUI.

My friend reserved 3 rooms there already so there will be some partying going on.

yes! i moved... i no longer live in a prison cell. :) it's a really spacious studio... even has a kitchen! (i could make hors d'oeuvres? byob?) it's pretty much 3rd & cherry... so yeah, very close.

will do... if people want to come over (& actually find parking, which is absolutely impossible after 8 pm) then I am going to suggest kicking this off around 6:30 ish... that way if people want to leave their cars around my place & share a cab then that's pretty cheap. However, if you're planning on getting extremely smashed, i do suggest doing the hotel thing per Tom's suggestion. Also, I can play DD and drive 3-4 people there (depending on what car I have by then, lol) & back to my house... just pitch in for parking :wiggle This'll be fun... and I get to cook! (And my semester will be OVER!!) :happyb but yeah, byob, i'm broke. :rolleyes:

Actually, I found a whole bunch of them at JcPenny...and they were on door buster, and I had a $10 off coupon that I found in my junkmail. After all that, it was $14!!! Fuck yea!

I was torn between two of designs...so there is at least one more completely obnoxious design available. I can send you a cell pic of it if you want.

JCPenney ooh yeah, that's a good bet. Last year I ended up grabbing one from Sears, it was more expensive than the one Xtian got at Aardvarks (and not nearly as awesomely gaudy) but I just tucked the tag and returned the sucker afterwards.

I would highly recommend getting together on a PW room at the hotel, unless you can get someone dedicated to be DD for the night. Also anyone on the fence or too far away would be more inclined to come out and have fun if they can stay with a place to crash.
This is where everyone is going to end up after the bar closes anyways. :naughty2

Ok, so I TOTALLY ditched Happy Hour to go to JCPenney yesterday for a doorbuster, spent $75, and still don't have an UCS. LOL! THey had some truely horrible creations there, but even at half price they were still $35-$40. Seriously, I couldn't believe how much JCP wanted for those gawd-ugly things! So I'm going to try Sear's at lunch. I'm inspired by Dave's Christmas card. If that doesn't work out, it's Christmas Poncho FTW!!!!

KTLA Channel 5 News confirmed they will be there unless there is some kind of disaster. They are going to start setting up around 8. Won't know for sure if they are going to pre-record or do a live report until the day of. Just try and get to Renaissance Long Beach Hotel between 8 and 10 for the pre-party and news. At 11 or so (after the news is done) we'll be walking down to the Dubliner...if your coming after 11 that is where we will be until it closes.

If you can't make it out then be sure to watch the news at 10!

what can i say, i get worried. he didn't drink much @ the bar and i was watching him. i wouldn't have driven with him had i actually thought he couldn't drive.
